Have you ever listened to the words you say?
Did you know the words you use form a picture in your mind?
Your mind only responds to the pictures you make in your head & the words you say. Marisa Peer
Pay attention to the words you’re using
The words we use have a tremendous impact on our mind & body.
Real & Imaginary Are The Same
The mind can't tell the difference between real & imaginary.
What we tell ourselves becomes our reality & influences our perception & experiences.
By using negative words such as can't, never, should, unworthy, undeserving, fail, hate, & ugly, we are sealing in fate.
Perfection is an unattainable goal & this word can harm our psyche as well.
The word try implies that we can't reach the desired goal, as in not on the first try. Replace try with doing as every action is essentially doing which is more positive & doesn't have the same negative association.
Positive words are uplifting & give us hope.
Test It Out
Do an experiment right now & say or think the words happy & sad. Observe what happens emotionally & physically. There is always a reaction.
Sometimes we do not notice as we tend to function on auto-pilot & rely on beliefs we formed in the past .
Our beliefs tend to be formed when we were between 5-7 years old. The words we use are aligned with our beliefs.
So we're allowing the mind of a child to run our adult lives. And that becomes one resistant adult!
Think about it, you've been telling yourself that you('re):
Ugly ➡️ don't like or hate your body
Failed ➡️ stuck in repeating pattern
Never ➡️ have enough money
Unworthy ➡️ always feel like you're struggling
Undeserving ➡️ can't love yourself
Change Is Possible
In order to change these beliefs, get into the habit of regularly observing yourself & replacing positive with negative words when appropriate.
Long-held beliefs can be challenging to change with this method alone. For more lasting & quicker results, external intervention can be beneficial.
Are you sick & tired of being sick & tired👇
