The Power of Words

The power of words forms a picture in your mind

Have you ever listened to the words you say?

Did you know the words you use form a picture in your mind?

Your mind only responds to the pictures you make in your head and the words you say. Marisa Peer

Pay attention to the words you’re using

The words we use have a tremendous impact on our mind and body.

Real And Imaginary Are The Same

What we imagine in our mind becomes our world. Dr. Masaru Emoto

The mind can't tell the difference between real and imaginary.

What we tell ourselves becomes our reality and influences our perception and experiences.

By using negative words such as can't, never, should, unworthy, undeserving, fail, hate, and ugly, we are sealing in fate.

Perfection is an unattainable goal and this word can harm our psyche as well.

The word try implies that we can't reach the desired goal, as in not on the first try. Replace the word try with doing as every action is essentially doing, which is more positive and doesn't have the same negative association.

Positive words are uplifting and give us hope.

Words are seeds that do more than blow around. They land in our hearts and not the ground.

Test It Out

Girl doing an experiment and forming beliefs

Do an experiment right now and say or think the words happy and sad. Observe what happens emotionally and physically. There is always a reaction.

Sometimes we do not notice as we tend to function on auto-pilot and rely on beliefs we formed in the past .

Our beliefs tend to be formed when we were between 5 to 7 years old. The words we use are aligned with our beliefs.

We're allowing the mind of a child to run our adult lives. And that becomes one resistant adult!

Think about it, you've been telling yourself that you (are):

  • Ugly = don't like your body

  • Failed = stuck in repeating pattern

  • Never = have enough money

  • Unworthy = have to suffer

  • Undeserving = can't love yourself

Words are the vibrations of nature. Beautiful words create beautiful nature. Ugly words create ugly nature. This is the root of the universe. Dr. Masaru Emoto

Change Is Possible

In order to change these beliefs, get into the habit of regularly observing yourself and replacing positive with negative words when appropriate.

Remember the power of words!

Long-held beliefs can be challenging to change with this method alone. For more lasting and quicker results, external intervention can be beneficial.
